About Us

At The Neuro Well, we use a new approach called Neuro Mental Health.

A careful integration of psychiatry and neurology. The brain doesn't compartmentalize its challenges into neat categories. Anxiety might stem from neurological changes. Depression might intertwine with cognitive decline. Chronic pain usually includes some elements along with the physical causes for it.

That's why we treat psychiatry and neurology as interconnected parts of your well-being. By seeing the full picture, we often notice patterns that others might miss. This method can make a real difference and especially for those who haven't found relief with traditional care.

Frequently asked questions

What is neuropsychiatry, and how is it different from seeing a regular psychiatrist or neurologist?

Neuropsychiatry is the area of medicine that sits where neurology (the nervous system) and psychiatry (mental health) overlap. Traditionally these were one field before they split apart. A neuropsychiatrist is trained in both, so symptoms that cross the line, for example migraines that come with anxiety, or memory changes that come with low mood, can be assessed and treated together by one doctor, rather than split between two specialists who may never compare notes. At The Neuro Well, Dr. Alon Seifan is a board-certified neurologist and UCNS-certified neuropsychiatrist, so both sides are handled in a single visit.

Can one doctor really treat both my neurological and psychiatric symptoms in the same visit?

Yes, that is the core of how The Neuro Well works. Because Dr. Seifan is dual-trained, a single appointment can cover both the neurological and the psychiatric side of what you're experiencing. The aim is one coordinated plan instead of two disconnected ones, and a focus on the fewest, brain-healthiest treatments needed for meaningful relief. This approach is often most helpful for people who have only gotten partway better with a standard, single-specialty approach. [CONFIRM with Alon: any conditions that are referred out rather than treated in-house.]

Which conditions do you treat?

The practice treats a broad range of brain and mental-health concerns, including headache and migraine, memory and cognitive problems, ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, sleep problems, movement disorders, chronic pain and more. It also runs an early Alzheimer's-prevention program. If you're not sure whether your situation fits, the best step is to call and ask before booking. [CONFIRM the exact condition list with Alon.]

Do you offer telehealth, or do I have to come into an office?

The Neuro Well offers both in-person visits and telehealth. There are physical offices in New York (Midtown Manhattan), Miami Beach (Lincoln Road) and Lakewood, New Jersey, and telehealth appointments are available for patients across New York, Florida and New Jersey. [CONFIRM with Alon which states telehealth is offered in and any rules about first visits needing to be in person.]

Do you take insurance, or is it cash-pay?

[CONFIRM with Alon, this needs to be exact.] Some sources list new-patient visits as cash-pay with the option to use insurance benefits for follow-ups. Because this is the kind of detail patients most need to get right before booking, the answer here should state the current policy precisely, including any new-patient fee and which insurances are accepted.

What happens in a first visit?

First visits are unhurried and focused on getting the diagnosis right rather than rushing to a treatment plan. Dr. Seifan reviews your full history across both the neurological and psychiatric picture, and builds a plan aimed at the underlying causes of your symptoms using as few treatments as possible. [CONFIRM typical visit length and anything patients should bring or prepare.]
