Common movement disorder concerns
A careful neurologic history and structured exam, adapted for video, usually clarify the diagnosis on the first visit.
How the visit works
We take a detailed history of how the movements began, what makes them better or worse, and how they affect daily life. A structured video exam, finger taps, posture, gait, voice , guides the differential. We review prior records and imaging when available.
Treatment & follow-up
Treatment depends on the diagnosis and may include treatment adjustments, lifestyle changes, referral for procedures (DBS, focused ultrasound, Botox) when appropriate, and coordination with physical and occupational therapy. Follow-ups are scheduled to track response and tune the plan.
Movement Disorders questions, answered
Can Parkinson's disease be evaluated via telehealth?+
Yes. Initial evaluation, follow-ups, and treatment adjustments are well-suited to telehealth. We coordinate in-person testing when needed.
Do you treat essential tremor?+
Yes, essential tremor is one of the most common reasons for a movement-disorders consult. We evaluate severity and discuss medical and procedural options.
